The horror game Horses was refused release on Steam and the Epic Games Store, as the moderators had complaints about the game's content.
The authors of the scandalous project recently reminded everyone of themselves again — they criticized Epic Games.
The reason was a statement by a company representative, which was published by journalist Steven Totilo:
«We love this studio,» said Epic VP Steve Allison, speaking about Santa Ragione, «but confirmed that the game’s AO [adults only] rating is an insurmountable obstacle to collaboration.
The creators of Horses updated Epic on the lie and stated that the company, after refusing the release, did not begin to explain anything to them in detail, but simply began to ignore them:
Epic made knowingly false statements about the content of the game, refused to provide any evidence to support their words, and did not share the aforementioned IARC certificate with the AO rating, which usually contains a link for the developer to file an appeal. They don’t «love this studio» at all — in fact, they just stopped getting in touch with us.
