Gamers fear the device will become very expensive.
Gamers continue to discuss the possible specifications of PlayStation 6. The well-known insider Kepler_L2 looked into one of the threads on the forum.
According to the insider, Sony is going to use GDDR7 memory in the new console: there will be 10 chips of 3 GB each, i.e. PlayStation 6 will get 30 gigabytes. A 160-bit bus will be used, with a bandwidth of 640 GB/s.
Participants in the discussion noted that memory is now a "premium product" and such a potential amount of memory in the PS6 will lead to a strong increase in the price of the console.
It is expected that the "portable PlayStation" will receive slightly less memory — 24 GB (LPDDR5X).
