Recently, PC repair master 修电脑的张哥 told about repairing a GeForce RTX 3080 Ti that stopped working after "several blows."
The physical impact was so strong that the graphics card's case was bent and the board cracked. During communication with the client, the specialist found out that the video card was damaged due to an "enraged girlfriend" — she inflicted these powerful blows.
The master decided to carry out a "transplant" — he transferred the surviving chip to a new donor board, which already had memory installed. The operation was successful and the GeForce RTX 3080 Ti worked again. A "turbine" (blower-type cooler) is now used for cooling.
