Some of the developers' ideas didn't make it to release.
The creators of the "Brothers In Arms - Ultimate Edition" modification for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt continue to gradually restore the cut content. In version 3.1.0, they restored the dark storyline content from the Hearts of Stone expansion.
The modders presented a storyline that explains why Shani appears in the DLC. An alternative scenario is also added to the game, in which the heroine can die.
Enthusiasts were able to find dialogues in The Witcher 3 files, but the cutscenes associated with them had to be made from scratch. It is assumed that CDPR cut this storyline at a late stage of development.
