Ghost in the Shell director Mamoru Oshii is a big fan of Bethesda's game.
Answering the question of which game he likes the most, the creator stated: "I can say without hesitation" Fallout 4. Oshii still plays it to this day: the Steam counter has already reached 8 thousand hours, and taking into account the PS4 version of the game, the total time has already exceeded 10 thousand hours.
Mamoru Oshii describes Fallout 4 as a game "as if created to fulfill my own desires." He noted the V.A.T.S. slow-motion aiming system — without it, he would not be able to play this project.
The director explained that multiplayer shooters, where quick reactions are required, "are not suitable for him." He also spoke about his experience playing PUBG, in which he played about 250 hours and even managed to miraculously take first place once. Nevertheless, he admits that he is generally not strong in multiplayer games.
Earlier, Oshii talked about his specific approach to playing Fallout 4: he ignores the main plot, does not build settlements at all, and does not join factions. He also does not use "buffs" (does not consume alcohol or other drugs), plays only honestly (without bugs), and his only companion is a dog.
