MercurySteam has confirmed that Blades of Fire will launch on Steam on May 14, 2026, and a free updated version 2.0 will be released simultaneously on all platforms. A demo of the game is already available on the Valve platform.
Patch 2.0 will add a number of new features: New Game+ mode, additional challenges, new weapon parts, a photo mode, and the ability to re-fight defeated bosses. There will also be an elemental transmutation system, which will diversify character development and combat style.
Technical improvements include smoother animations, DLSS 4 support on PC, new achievements, official Steam Deck compatibility, and full keyboard and mouse control. The update will be free for all game owners.
