Steam users don't forget anything and sometimes don't forgive.
Recently, MercurySteam studio, previously noted for Metroid Dread and Castlevania: Lords of Shadow, once again reminded about its Blades of Fire project. A year ago, it was released on consoles and PC in the Epic Games Store, and now they are going to release it on Steam as well.
Simultaneously, a major 2.0 update was announced for Blades of Fire — it will be released on the same day as the Steam version of the game.
Users of the Valve service recalled the EGS exclusivity. Holden Caulfield started a discussion on the Blades of Fire forum on Steam:
Never forget: this game was an Epic Games Store exclusive
For a certain category of people, this moment is critical when making a decision about purchasing. Some have now refused to purchase Blades of Fire, because they do not want to support the "disgusting practice" on PC when companies make deals for exclusivity in a certain service.
