The creators of Caribbean Legend: Age of Pirates have released a development diary dedicated to discussing improvements in the remaster of the pirate RPG "Sea Dogs: City of Abandoned Ships."
For example, players will finally get a full-fledged personal storage:
The lack of ability to store your honestly earned goods somewhere was frustrating. In the original, you had to use bugs and hide them in stoves, grottoes, dubious chests on the deck, which of course was not very correct. Finally, the moneylender's house has been reclassified as a full-fledged bank with a bank vault! Now, for a moderate fee, you can use his services and save your property.
Working with ship docks will become easier — a free officer is no longer required to dock a ship.
- According to the new port management rules, sailors no longer live on the ship in the docks. You can write them off ashore, paying their salary, or distribute them to the rest of the squadron in one click.
- There will always be 3 places available for ships in the docks, but there may be exceptions.
- Port management does not accept the storage of various kinds of goods in the hold. So, when transferring to the docks, you will need to empty it.
Now the officer's place is next to the captain:
Since they are no longer "preserved" with the ships, the limit regains its meaning. This approach forces the player to be more thoughtful when forming their team. You will have to choose the best of the best.
The developers of Caribbean Legend: Age of Pirates are also making visual changes to the icons for better readability.
And a monetary reform was carried out:
Now the hero will jingle the well-known silver piasters in his pockets, while heavy chests filled with gold remain the prerogative for serious matters, such as upgrading ships.
