Blizzard and Microsoft delivered a surprise at the end of the new releases presentation - Diablo II: Resurrected has been added to Xbox Game Pass.
This is news for veterans who want to return to the classic, and for new players who had been putting the game off "for later." Diablo II: Resurrected has preserved the same darkness, pace, and addictive gameplay loop, but with updated graphics and improved quality-of-life features, it has become more comfortable to play.
The addition to the subscription also coincided with the release of new content. Players can separately purchase the expansion and immediately try out the new class — the Warlock — without buying the game at full price.
The Warlock is aimed at fans of dark themes: the class uses shadow magic, commands demonic creatures, and affects enemies with abilities that in Diablo have always balanced on the edge of risk.
For those who were waiting for a reason to return to Diablo II, Microsoft has provided one. The combination of the Game Pass version and the fresh expansion creates a complete package for returning to Sanctuary.
