The first trailer for Yakoh Shinobi Ops was shown at State of Play. This is a cooperative online action game about four shinobi. It is being developed by Shueisha Games and Acquire, the studio that was at the origin of the Tenchu series. The release is scheduled for 2027 for PlayStation 5 and PC.
Players infiltrate guarded territories, avoid traps and patrols. The project supports a single-player mode, but the emphasis is on a four-person co-op.
A key element is the invulnerable "Pursuer." He cannot be defeated: capture means death. Constant pressure forces you to make quick decisions – hide, move silently, or run to the evacuation point.
Each shinobi has their own ninjutsu abilities: a grappling hook to climb to a height, destruction of walls, smoke screens, distracting firecrackers. Success depends on the distribution of roles and coordination. Players will be able to revive allies, carry them, and activate devices simultaneously.
New equipment and builds are unlocked for completing missions. The further you go, the more difficult the tasks become.
