Recently, tech enthusiast Frogbull presented the results of an experiment. He managed to run Minecraft on the SEGA Saturn console.
This is not a direct port, but a simplified version of Minecraft — not all content from the original game is available (biomes/mobs). Overall, the project runs at an acceptable frame rate, and the gameplay resembles "creative mode."
Frogbull intends to continue working on the Minecraft "port" and refine it; for example, he plans to use an additional memory card, which will add 4 MB of memory to the console. In the future, this will allow for generating a larger world and improving performance.
