The developers of Path of Exile have reminded players about the upcoming end of the Affliction League and talked about what will change in the game:
The old Breaches will be replaced by those that appeared in 3.27 Affliction, with both unstable Breaches and Breach hives occurring naturally in areas starting from Act 6. There will be the usual support for the main league mechanic with scarabs and on the Atlas tree, including the ability to control which type of Breach encounters appear on your maps if you prefer one or the other!
Grinding Gear Games clarified that the Wildwood in Path of Exile will remain as "a method of growing rewards from the flesh of your slain foes", but the Wisp buffs will no longer be available.
The Affliction League in Path of Exile will end at midnight on March 3, 2026 (MSK).
- Currently equipped Wisp buffs will be removed.
- Growing Affliction rewards will also be removed, as will all implanting currency.
- All stored Wisp blood will be lost.
