Players believe the advertisement was misleading.
God of War Sons of Sparta was recently released. The game is available not only in single-player mode, but also in co-op.
A problem arose with the "co-op" — access to it is closed by default. Developers from Santa Monica Studio saw messages from dissatisfied users and explained that you must first complete the game:
After completing the main storyline of Sons of Sparta, you will unlock the challenge mode, which can be played solo or in local 2-player co-op.
However, the PS Store listing for God of War Sons of Sparta indicates the presence of co-op — players expected to be able to start a joint playthrough of the story. Some users, like kriticaljoe, consider this false advertising and are trying to get a refund:
??? why did you lock the co-op until the first full playthrough of the game? I don't want to play it twice — I want to play it once with my wife. Now I'm trying to get a refund because of false advertising…
