Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will be released on modern platforms as part of the Legacy Collection Vol. 2. After years of waiting, players will be able to play the game outside of the PS3. At the same time, an element that has annoyed many since its release will disappear – the lengthy installation process.
In the original on PS3, each new part of the campaign required mandatory data installation. Instead of a smooth transition to the next act, players watched the progress bar while Old Snake smoked. Initially this seemed like a Kojima joke, but over time it became annoying.
Now the new edition offers a modern approach: improved graphics, performance and normal installation. Players will be able to fully immerse themselves in the story without being distracted by loading screens. The "worst element of MGS4" is becoming history, and the classic is finally available in the form in which it was originally intended.
