A Polish journalist, known as "UV," confirmed during recent streams that The Witcher 3 will receive a new large-scale story expansion. It was previously reported that the project is not being handled directly by CD Projekt RED, but by Fool's Theory, which is working on a remake of the first part.
More than 100 developers are working on the expansion, which indicates a serious scale comparable to "Hearts of Stone" and "Blood and Wine."
According to UV, the add-on will become a story bridge between the third and fourth parts. This will allow for a smooth transition to the new saga and close important storylines. Rumors speak of a new mythical region (often mentioning Zerrikania), and Ciri may be at the center of events – a possible step towards The Witcher 4.
