Will Crimson Desert Have a Demo? The Developers Gave an Official Comment

Although only a month remains until the release of Crimson Desert, Pearl Abyss has officially confirmed players' fears: there will be no public demo.

Will Powers, Marketing Director of the American division, stated that preparing a demo is a logistical and technical nightmare. According to the team, the game is "too difficult to demonstrate" in the form of a cut-out fragment that would not distort the overall impression.

The main problem is scale. Pearl Abyss is betting on an open world that should challenge even Red Dead Redemption 2 in size. Powers explained that the showings at Gamescom were closed sessions with boss fights and did not reflect the spirit of the entire game. Creating a separate stable version with world exploration and story would require huge resources that the studio does not have in the final stage before release.

Instead of a demo, the studio chose transparency. The game will be given to journalists and influencers in advance so that their opinions become a source of information for fans. Official performance tests on different platforms are also promised. This is called an honest compromise for more than two million players who have added the project to their wishlist.
