In the new installment of the God of War franchise, Kratos may once again travel to Greece. During a recent podcast, well-known insider Tom Henderson shared his thoughts:
There are many rumors that it will be a God of War about Ancient Egypt. Of course, I have already said that I saw a sword, which may indicate that the action will indeed take place in Egypt. However, you know, I have a feeling that the series will still return to Greek mythology.
It is possible that the developers will show a younger Kratos in the new God of War:
I heard again - I won't assert anything, just heard - that the next God of War will allegedly focus on a young Kratos, and Zeus will reappear in the game as his father. I don't know if this is true or not. It seems that Jason Schreier said that this game - or the next project of Cory Barlog - will feel a little different, and I think, maybe it will be some kind of cooperative project or something like that? I do not know.
A new weapon may also appear in this game - the scythe. Nothing has been revealed yet about the features of the mechanics.
The insider did not report at what stage of development the next God of War is currently at.
