Star Wars: Galactic Racer will be a premium game without a season pass. This was announced by developers from Fuse Games.
The project was recently shown at State of Play, the trailer with dynamic races and spectacular locations noticeably fueled interest of the audience. The exact release date has not yet been revealed, but the release is scheduled for 2026 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC.
The studio emphasized that they understand the concerns of players regarding monetization in games based on the Star Wars universe and do not want to repeat the "darkest times" of Star Wars: Battlefront II.
Studio head Matt Webster stated that Galactic Racer is a "standalone product." The game will feature a story campaign, arcade mode and multiplayer, and all content will be available on release day. Without a season pass and without free-to-play tricks.
Creative director Kieran Crimmins added that the team is focused on releasing a complete product without aggressive monetization.
