Pricing in Steam for players from Poland has been a long-standing issue.

For many years, players from Poland have been complaining about very high game prices. Some publishers set prices in the region higher than in the US, and almost on par with Switzerland. Now, the pricing situation has gone beyond the group of gamer activists and moved into the political sphere.

Polish left-wing politicians have supported the "#PolishOurPrices" initiative. They are not just drawing attention to the problem, but also taking action — the case has been referred to the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection.

In their statement, Polish politicians also expressed support for the "#StopKillingGames" movement, which advocates for the preservation of games:

Polish players pay inflated prices for games on the Steam platform because the exchange rate used to convert the zloty to the dollar is not updated. In this regard, we intervened, and the case was referred to the UOKiK, which is conducting an investigation. We support the #PolishOurPrices and #StopKillingGames initiatives, as we believe that players should receive fair treatment.
