Several new characters have recently been added to Overwatch. The developers faced a number of linguistic features, as well as the specific behavior of players.
One of Domina's lines, "Shall we negotiate," began to be cleverly interrupted in such a way that it sounded like an insult to black players. The line will be refined to avoid cases of premature interruption.
In the English version, some things sound normal, but in the case of other languages, there may be nuances.
For example, there were difficulties with Reactive Kisa. The character's original name is Fika. For Swedes, this is a "tradition of taking a break from work," but for Italians, it is not a very cultural designation for the female genital organ.
For the Italian version of Overwatch, the name was changed to Semla, referring to a Swedish sweet bun.
