Recently, the developers of Caribbean Legend: Age of Pirates — a remaster of \"Pirates of the Caribbean: City of Abandoned Ships\" — completed the February playtest, during which players could evaluate the content and gameplay mechanics.
Now they are preparing for the release of the project. The head of the publishing studio BlackMark Studio noted:
The game showed excellent stability — there were few bugs, even by beta standards. Some of you managed to play for dozens of hours, complete most of the side quests, and reach very high levels.
Some players had the question \"why is AoP so difficult?\" — Joruba explained that the original \"City of Abandoned Ships\" was a difficult game:
In [Caribbean Legend] we have significantly lowered the difficulty bar — and this has even caused noticeable dissatisfaction among some of the audience. [Developer Studio] ReCon Team, I am sure, will smooth out many excesses based on the results of the playtest. Otherwise, the guys have their own vision, and that's right.
The release of Caribbean Legend: Age of Pirates is scheduled for March 13, 2026. The price will be 20 dollars or 999 rubles (the cost in Kazakhstan has not yet been specified).
