The release of Resident Evil Requiem is scheduled for February 27, but some were able to get game discs much earlier. Spoilers began to appear online, and a developer of past installments in the franchise drew attention to these publications.
Hideki Kamiya, known for his expressive manner, decided to speak out on social media, wishing all sorts of bad things to the leakers:
Back in the days of Biohazard 2 (Resident Evil 2), part of the plot was also leaked... For the sake of your selfish satisfaction, you spat on the feelings of users who were waiting for the game, and the creators who put all their efforts into it. This is a disgusting act that destroys the happiness of those involved in the project - worthy of a thousand deaths. May a curse fall upon you so that you can never play video games again...
Players do not understand why Capcom did not provide a protection mechanism that would not allow Resident Evil Requiem to be launched unless special permission was obtained.
