Bloober Team is making Silent Hill 1 with the author of the original music

Horror series fans have a reason to rejoice. Akira Yamaoka has confirmed his participation in the remake of the first Silent Hill. His music became the basis of the cycle's sound.

During a recent meeting with fans, the composer put an end to rumors about other projects. He stated that he is not working on Silent Hill: Townfall, but is fully focused on the new version of the first game. For many, returning to Harry Mason's town without Yamaoka's signature industrial soundtrack would be impossible.

The Polish studio Bloober Team is responsible for the development. After the success of Silent Hill 2 Remake, the studio became Konami's main partner in reviving the brand. The project is being created on Unreal Engine 5.

The game is already in full production. The developers emphasize that the first part is a different experience than the "second". The story revolves around a cult, religious fanaticism, and surreal horror. The 1999 original was remembered for its almost feverish atmosphere, and the team intends to preserve it in the remake.
