Journalist and insider Jez Corden said on The Xbox Two podcast that Microsoft is exploring the possibility of including MMO subscriptions directly in Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This refers to access to games with mandatory subscription fees.
In addition to World of Warcraft, bonuses such as Fallout 1st for Fallout 76, ESO Plus for The Elder Scrolls Online, and Minecraft Realms servers for Minecraft are also being discussed.
Such a move is explained by the desire to increase the "perceived value" of the most expensive subscription tier. The possibility of giving up a separate WoW subscription in favor of a unified ecosystem would look attractive to the PC audience.
The rumor coincides with reports about a new Microsoft platform codenamed Magnus, which is allegedly planned for 2027. There is no confirmation yet.
