Currently, the Polish Bloober Team is preparing a remake of Silent Hill, and the developers at GOG have other plans for the franchise.
Recently, fans celebrated the 27th anniversary of Silent Hill, and GOG took notice:
If there's any company that can make it available [on modern PCs — it's us. We could do it, but only with your help.
The developers are conducting a "GOG Dreamlist" vote — players can suggest which games they would like to include in the preservation program. GOG specialists are updating and supporting such projects to ensure they remain accessible on modern systems.
Konami itself is in no hurry to release re-releases, but there is a chance that community activity will help GOG in potential negotiations for the release of an updated version of Silent Hill on PC.
