Resident Evil Requiem has already become the highest-rated game of 2026, which has fueled interest in the release.
On OpenCritic the project took first place in the ranking of the best games of the year (average score - 8.8/10).
Most reviewers warmly welcomed the new part of the Capcom series, but not everyone was satisfied. Region Free and Daily Mirror gave the game 6/10, pointing to anachronisms and weaker motifs compared to the previous part of the series.
The high average score immediately affected digital pre-order sales. In Steam, the game took first place in revenue, surpassing Counter-Strike 2.
Performance on PC is noted separately. According to TechPowerUp tests with 34 video cards, even GeForce RTX 3060 owners will be able to play in native 1080p at maximum settings (without ray tracing) at a frequency significantly higher than 60 fps. Thus, a repeat of the problems with Dragon's Dogma 2 and the new Monster Hunter is not expected.
