This February marks the first decade of Stardew Valley. Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone released a special video in honor of the project's 10th anniversary, in which he shared memories and a teaser of new content, as well as showed old footage, including the 2012 version of the game.

In this iteration, the game had, perhaps, the strangest phase — I would say that here Stardew Valley was as if going through a "teenage age." In this version, you could buy animals and buildings directly from the game menu, and not from Robin. And, by the way, that farm map that you just saw — it was really cool. You're probably angry now that it's no longer in Stardew Valley. But yes, then it was more of a simulation concept than an RPG.
In addition, ConcernedApe revealed romanceable characters from update 1.7 for Stardew Valley — Clint and Sandy.
