Valve has announced a price increase for the Steam Deck in Japan. The new rates will take effect on March 6 and will affect models with OLED displays.
The company explains the decision by citing rising logistics costs and exchange rate fluctuations. The price increase will also affect South Korea and Taiwan.
In Japan, the price will increase by 15,000 yen (≈$110). The 512 GB model will cost 99,800 yen (≈$740), and the 1 TB version will cost 114,800 yen (≈$850).
It is not yet known whether the increase will affect other markets, but this is likely due to rising prices for components and logistics costs.
