Pre-orders for the "Eye of Terror - The Reign of Iron" book set for Warhammer 40,000 will open soon. It focuses on the Iron Warriors' assault on the surviving worlds of the Cadian Gate and includes new detachments for various fighters, as well as a new set of rules for the "Apocalypse" format.
Games Workshop has presented the three final books in the "Eye of Terror – The Reign of Iron" narrative campaign.
This is a new supplement for the Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game, which brings a new story to the setting, detachments for many armies, and rules for battles of apocalyptic scale.
The destruction of Cadia at the height of Abaddon's 13th Black Crusade has brought unimaginable woes upon the Imperium. However, despite the fact that the forces of Chaos are now pouring out of the Eye of Terror in incredible numbers, the Cadian Gate has not fallen completely. Imperial bastions and forge worlds are still desperately holding back the onslaught, and as long as they stand, Chaos is not truly able to begin its crushing march on Terra.
"Eye of Terror – The Reign of Iron" is a set of books in a decorative slipcase that expands the lore of the recent conflicts of the 41st millennium and adds new game rules for battles. The first book is dedicated to the preparation and assault by the Iron Warriors on the surviving worlds of the Cadian Gate, including a detailed overview of the numerous mortal and demonic forces under the command of Warsmith Kravek Morn.
The second book is a new set of rules that brings back the classic large-scale "Apocalypse" format games to Warhammer 40,000. The system of modular instructions and adjustments makes it easy to conduct battles of epic scale.
The new "Apocalypse" rules include many ways to simplify the gameplay and balance the significantly increased armies, while individual modules can be added or removed depending on the players' preferences.
The third book contains new detachments for Chaos Space Marines, regular Space Marines, Chaos Knights, Imperial Knights, and Adeptus Mechanicus. It includes options for armies consisting of Vashtorr's demonic engines, Freeblade mercenary knights, Skitarii cohorts, and more.
Pre-orders for "Eye of Terror – The Reign of Iron" should open in the near future.
