NVIDIA has been caught in a major scandal, releasing drivers that reduced GPU performance by approximately 30%. The issue surfaced on the eve of the weekend and affected players of Resident Evil Requiem.
The company's president recently stated that AI has stopped "hallucinating" and is used for programming tasks, including within NVIDIA.
"If this is how artificial intelligence writes code, I'm out," users comment.
YouTuber Daniel Owen reported that even after rolling back to the stable driver version 591.86, the frame rate in Resident Evil Requiem was 23% lower compared to even older drivers 576.88. For maximum performance in Capcom's new release, it is recommended to reinstall the drivers to version 576.88.
The problematic drivers are no longer available, but NVIDIA has not yet released a corrected version intended for Resident Evil Requiem.
