In parallel, Sony has entered into a strategic agreement to purchase 16 million shares of Bandai Namco worth approximately $464.5 million. After the completion of the transaction, the Japanese concern will own 2.5% of the company's capital.
The changes will also affect the international structure. From April 1, Nintendo will take control of Bandai Namco Studios Singapore, which after rebranding will become Nintendo Singapore.
The restructuring is aimed at streamlining the group's activities and adapting to new market realities, including increasing competition and changing business models in the gaming industry.
