Players will be able to go through several eras.
In early March, Humanica was released on Steam in early access. This is a city-building simulator from a solo developer.
Players are invited to build a settlement, as well as gather, craft various items, farm, raise livestock, and smelt bronze and iron:
It all starts in 10,000 BC. You have to go through the difficult path of human development - from the Paleolithic to the Iron Age. The game features a massive technology tree, the advancement through which will from time to time change your style of play, forcing you to adapt to new conditions. And your settlement will grow, becoming more and more technological.
Humanica's gameplay is divided into days: each of them is an iteration of a cycle (or turn), within which residents can do a limited amount of work.
This is not a "peaceful" game — sometimes angry wild animals and nomads can attack the settlement, so you have to think about defense.
Humanica is expected to be in early access for three to six months.
