According to Rhys Elliott of Alinea Analytics, more than 1.3 million Steam users are already awaiting the game's release. Thanks to this, Windrose ranks 11th in the list of the platform's most anticipated games (Subnautica 2 still holds first place).
This success could serve as a lesson for Ubisoft, whose Skull and Bones was criticized for the lack of land battles and full-fledged boarding actions, while ship combat here takes place automatically. Despite promises to add them last year, the French publisher has not yet done so. Unlike Skull and Bones, Windrose offers full-fledged PvE battles and places emphasis on engaging gameplay.
