Recently, the developers of Arc Raiders faced many questions. In March, they held a giveaway of an in-game gift, to receive which users had to link a Discord* account with an Embark Studios profile.
A tech blogger drew attention to a feature of Arc Raiders' integration with this service — the Discord SDK used \"recorded an excessively large volume of data\".
The developers responded quickly to the complaints and presented a technical hotfix:
You can rest assured: your personal data never left your computer, and Embark did not review and will not store such information. We will disable Discord SDK logging and conduct an in-depth review to avoid similar issues in the future.
In addition, they manually dealt with players who got \"stuck\" when being sent to the Expedition (a voluntary wipe) — now they should have been correctly sent on the journey.
