The creators of Genshin Impact have started teasing a new character from update 6.5. miHoYo (HoYoverse) published several pieces of artwork.
This time, the focus is on Linneya — a heroine with 5-star rarity, her element is Geo, and she uses a Bow.
The developers of Genshin Impact have not yet revealed any gameplay mechanics, but they did present a lore description of Linneya:
[...] The children of Nashgorod one day grow up and begin to believe in the image the world has of them, and among countless roads they choose only one, laid out by fate long before their birth. From that moment, the boundless world around them turns into a tiny shell. But Linneya could not make such a choice, and there was no one beside her who could answer the most important question. It is a good thing that the world around her is so vast.
In Teyvat, there are seven nations, in the cold tundra of Snezhnaya there live six kinds of alves, a rainbow can be split into seven colors, but what lies beyond them? On mountain peaks, beneath the clouds, and in the depths of the sea, many beautiful and wondrous creatures live. There are dungeons where unexplored ecosystems are hidden. They are mentioned in no reference book, they belong to no classification. And that which defies classification holds endless possibilities within. Thus Linneya set foot on the path of adventure. Perhaps, if she does not stop, she will manage to walk every possible road before fate finally catches up with her. This is that very unique bond that Linneya has formed with the world.
