The Digital Foundry editorial team examined the technical state of Resident Evil Requiem and compared the game's graphics on PS5 with the settings available on PC.
The journalists also presented optimal settings for the PC version. At the same time, they praised the port: without ray tracing, the game is comfortable to play even on relatively weak computers.
The situation changes when ray tracing is enabled. In this mode, FPS problems may arise for owners of graphics cards with 8 GB of VRAM. Therefore, the editorial team recommends playing without RT.
Digital Foundry proposed its own settings that provide the best balance between image quality and performance. Separate recommendations were prepared for graphics cards with 8 GB of video memory and for GPUs with more than 8 GB of VRAM.
The main drawback of the PC version, according to the journalists, is the lack of a field of view (FoV) setting, which is considered standard for first-person games. Also surprising is the inability to disable "film grain" in the graphics options. In addition, the game lacks a separate option to enable ray reconstruction when using RT.
