The game received a cool reception on Steam. It currently has "mixed" reviews and about 63% positive reviews. One of the main complaints was the linearity of the gameplay. Players noted that there are no "sandbox" or "free movement" modes here. According to users, Docked is a "game on rails", not a large port management simulator that many were counting on. The main part of the gameplay comes down to completing pre-set missions, which are often repeated.
There are also problems with performance. One Steam user wrote that even with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 video card in native 4K, they only get 60–70 FPS. This is partly due to the lack of modern upscaling technologies. The game runs on the Unity engine and does not support DLSS and AMD FSR on PC. Only a dynamic resolution scaling system is available, which adjusts the image to a given frame rate, such as 60 FPS, but without DLSS or FSR the result looks worse.
The RepublicaDG editorial team also reports performance issues, giving the PlayStation 5 version a score of 6.8 out of 10.
