Recently, update 1.0.2.5 was released for Escape from Tarkov. Battlestate Games made changes to the parameters of some weapon modules.
The developers explained that this is only the beginning of a large-scale update:
The changes are divided into several stages. The first involved adjustments to grips, magazines, muzzle devices, and stocks. We are currently in the process of collecting feedback and fixing minor bugs — for example, with some tasks in the "Gunsmith" quest line.
In the next iterations, the authors of Escape from Tarkov will have to adapt barrels and handguards to the new system (their parameters "will be adjusted"):
In addition, we will pay attention to the basic characteristics of weapons that were most noticeably affected by the recent changes. First of all, these are all types of AK chambered for 7.62x39, as well as platforms for the 7.62x51 and 7.62x54R calibers. If necessary, changes to the performance characteristics of other weapons are also possible.
In addition, there are plans to revise the prices and unlocking methods of all weapon modules "so that they better match the new parameter distribution."
