This is how optimization should work. You can play Resident Evil Requiem even with 2 GB of video memory

A video has been released on the RandomGaming YouTube channel showing that Resident Evil Requiem runs at approximately 30–40 FPS at 1080p resolution even on an old GeForce GTX 960 video card with 2 GB of VRAM. It turns out that the real minimum requirements are lower than the information from Steam, which specifies a video card with 6 GB of VRAM.

On minimum graphics settings, this GPU produces about 20–30 FPS in 1080p, which is considered unplayable. But after enabling AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution version 3 upscaling, the frame rate rises to approximately 25–50 FPS. In this configuration, playing the new Capcom horror game is quite possible.

Thus, Capcom shows itself in a better light after the poor optimization at the start of Dragon's Dogma 2 and Monster Hunter Wilds. It remains to be hoped that this level of technical development will become the publisher's standard.
