On June 5, 2025, Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster was released on Nintendo Switch 2. The updated version of the jRPG quickly gained recognition from journalists and players. The project was praised for its classic combat system, recognizable visual style, and noticeably improved graphics. As a result, many fans called it one of the most interesting premieres on the Nintendo platform.
It seems the exclusivity didn't last long. Square Enix didn't conduct a large-scale advertising campaign, but the company released a trailer that confirmed the unexpected move. Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster appeared on the Microsoft Store and Steam platforms, but is not yet available on PlayStation consoles.
Square Enix also announced another piece of news for fans of the series – sales of the Bravely series have exceeded 4 million copies.
