Recently, gamers once again remembered The Simpsons: Hit & Run (2003). This time, the reason was the statement of the showrunner of "The Simpsons" Matt Selman.
During the interview, he shared his memories of The Simpsons: Hit & Run
"Hit & Run" is a very interesting game. When I was in my early twenties, I helped write the script. I didn't even imagine then that it would become a cult classic, a real hit among fans. Of course, a lot of time has passed since then, but I remember one meeting with the team that made it. Then Grand Theft Auto III had just come out, and we said: "This game should be a Simpsons version in the spirit of GTA. The player should be able to get in and out of cars."
Matt Selman admitted the possibility of the return of The Simpsons: Hit & Run:
Nothing has been decided yet. But if we talk about Hit & Run, I would say this: "Never say never", because we know that people love it. We know that they want it - and that's already good. If we know that players want this, then nothing can be ruled out.
Various enthusiasts are trying to update The Simpsons: Hit & Run on their own. Videos with remake concepts periodically appear on the network:
