The FBI recently announced a search for potential victims who installed games on Steam containing malicious software.
The FBI believes that attackers targeted Steam users mainly between May 2024 and January 2026. A virus was embedded in the game that could steal personal data and empty a crypto wallet.
During the investigation, the FBI identified several infected games, such as: BlockBlasters, Chemia, Dashverse / DashFPS, Lampy, Lunara, PirateFi and Tokenova..
The FBI is currently conducting an investigation and is asking victims to provide their personal information.
