Scandal with viruses in games from Steam reached the FBI - investigation launched

The FBI recently announced a search for potential victims who installed games on Steam containing malicious software.

The FBI believes that attackers targeted Steam users mainly between May 2024 and January 2026. A virus was embedded in the game that could steal personal data and empty a crypto wallet.
