The remake of the role-playing game Fate/Extra, Fate/Extra Record, is delayed again. The project's official account announced on March 16 that Bandai Namco Entertainment is canceling the distribution of the game on all platforms, and all pre-orders will be canceled with a full refund.
Bandai Namco did not specify the reasons for the decision but apologized for the inconvenience. Developer Type-Moon Studio BB noted that work on the game continues.
After joint discussions, Notes and Bandai Namco Entertainment decided to revise the project, including changes to the development structure. As a result, we made the decision to change the distributor.
The release date has been postponed, and new information about the distributor and release dates will be announced later. This is the second postponement of Fate/Extra Record: the game was originally scheduled for 2025, but Type-Moon felt that more time was needed to improve the quality of the remake. The project is produced by Kazuya Niino, who previously worked on the original.
