The company will also reduce fixed overtime from 30 to 20 hours per month. Atlus explains this as a desire to "develop creativity and increase the productivity of each employee" and to ensure a "stable life and work with a sense of security."
The salary increase follows the example of its parent company Sega, which in November 2025 increased the salaries of newcomers to 330,000 yen and increased the annual salary of employees by 10%. Atlus and Sega, like other major Japanese studios such as Konami and Capcom, are trying to retain qualified personnel through significant increases.
