PC gamers will be able to become true heroes in the world of mortals and defeat legendary monsters, as the board game "Champions of Midgard" will get a digital adaptation called Champions of Midgard: Digital Edition.
Grey Fox Games and Shufflestone Games have announced the strategy game Champions of Midgard: Digital Edition, which is a digital adaptation of the board game "Champions of Midgard".
In this project, designed for 1–4 participants, players will try to stop the invasion of monsters and restore peace to the ancient world of Scandinavia.
They will have to compete with each other, acting as one of the Viking leaders: directing residents for supplies, hiring brave warriors, strengthening fortress walls and protecting villages, making sea expeditions through dangerous waters, discovering ancient runes, using magic and fighting trolls, draugrs and legendary monsters.
Each warrior is represented as a unique cube with its own strengths and weaknesses. Players will have to earn glory with victories and calculate actions in advance, because if a fighter falls in battle, he will not return.
Users will have access to online matches, a training mode, and a single-player mode where you can challenge AI opponents. It is not yet known when Champions of Midgard: Digital Edition will be released on PC, but the game already has its own page on Steam.
