Crimson Desert is showing an impressive start on Steam. According to Alinea Analytics, nearly 400,000 copies have been sold, which corresponds to approximately $20 million in revenue from pre-orders alone.
These figures are particularly impressive considering that we are only talking about one platform, and the game will also be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Interest in Crimson Desert has not decreased even after discussions about console versions, problems on weak PCs, and Denuvo.
It is noted that about 10% of all sales occurred in just one 24-hour window, which shows the willingness of players not to wait for reviews. If the forecasts are confirmed, Crimson Desert will start stronger than Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 or Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
