Crytek has introduced a new event for Hunt: Showdown 1896 called "Devil's Trail", an addition with the hunter The Madness of Montresor and the monster "Firebug":
The new fire-breathing monster appears in the swamps and ravines. It can be found among groups of possessed. The Firebug spews fire from a distance, so caution is required to destroy it.
In the "Devil's Trail" event, the authors of Hunt: Showdown 1896 offer a number of gameplay changes in the spirit of Escape from Tarkov.
During the event, supply points and extraction points are hidden from the map.
There are several ways to reveal their location, you can:
- Find and use a reconnaissance map
- Discover points yourself by approaching them, marking them at a distance, or finding them with a spyglass
In addition, extraction points can be revealed by:
- Picking up a reward
- Exiling a boss
- Using the Tarot card "Chariot"
A new type of tower, "Reconnaissance Towers", has appeared in the game, where you can find a reconnaissance map, weapons, and new tarot cards:
Two Reconnaissance Towers appear in each mission — these are the only points marked on the map at the start of the match. Players should head there to reveal the rest of the map.
