Less than a month has passed since the release of Resident Evil Requiem, and the game has already brought Capcom impressive revenue. In three weeks, sales exceeded 6 million copies.
Analyst Rhys Elliot and Alinea Analytics have estimated revenues and concluded that Steam and PS5 users brought in the most money.
On the Valve platform, the game earned more than $223 million, which is significantly higher than the result of Resident Evil Village ($108.8 million). The data confirms Capcom's CEO's words that the PC market brings about half of the company's revenue. At the same time, 15% of the 2.9 million buyers on Steam are users from China.
The PS5 version showed a result of $175 million. The gap from the PC was about 50 million, but the Sony console remains the second key source of revenue for the project.
