The game was released at night, and users began to share their first impressions. They differ: the developers made a long and complex start with a large number of systems, which not everyone liked.
However, PS5 owners should not worry. According to tests, Crimson Desert runs stably even on the base version of the console.
Analysis by ElAnalistaDeBits showed three modes: Quality, Balanced, and Performance. In quality mode, lighting, detail, textures, vegetation, and water are enhanced, which improves the picture.
The main differences are noticeable in Performance mode. The base PS5 reduces graphics settings more than the PS5 Pro, especially in details. Ray tracing is most heavily cut, which helps maintain frame rates.
Interestingly, the more powerful console doesn't win in everything. PSSR technology on the PS5 Pro sometimes gives a faded image that looks less natural than on the regular PS5.
There are no performance problems: the base PS5 delivers up to ~80 FPS in Performance, the PS5 Pro – about 90–100 FPS. This indicates good engine optimization.
An analysis of the Xbox Series X|S version is also being prepared – according to preliminary data, the game also runs stably there.
