Recently, Valve introduced the beta version of the SteamOS 3.8.0 update. The developers announced that this version will include support for Steam Machine.
In addition, there are improvements for other devices:
- Improved controller support for OneXPlayer F1, GPD Win 5, GPD Win Mini, Anbernic Win600, OrangePi NEO and Lenovo Legion Go.
- Added controller support for OneXPlayer X1 and Lenovo Legion Go 2.
- Added system and controller firmware update support for Lenovo Legion Go 2
- Added RGB controller backlight color settings for Lenovo Legion Go 2.
- Improved SD card reliability for some third-party portable devices, including ASUS ROG Xbox Ally, Legion Go 1, Legion Go S, Legion Go 2 and MSI Claw.
- Fixed some GPU freezes on Phoenix APU devices (in Tales of Arise, Octopath Traveler II).
Valve also fixed a number of specific errors:
- Fixed an issue affecting some games (e.g. SpongeBob SquarePants: Titans of the Tide) that could cause the game window to be positioned incorrectly.
- Fixed a bug that caused the session to crash when closing some games, such as Star Wars Jedi: Survivor and Starfield.
